SanDisk has launched iXpand Memory Case for iPhone 6 and iPhone 6S and it comes with in-built storage of up to 128GB. It also supports additional battery pack on top and offers protection to iPhone as it features hard plastic outside & soft rubber inside. As of now, the iXpand Memory case is not available for larger iPhone Plus variant.
The case wraps around the iPhone with the bottom edge of the case connecting to the Lighting port. It is worth nothing, that SanDisk already has a Lightning to USB flash drive for iPhone and iPad devices. The iXpand Memory Case offers the same functions as the flash drive but buckles up at the back of the iPhone to be non-invasive.
The company has also launched a new iOS app that lets you access and manage the content. You can view your photos and play your videos, music & access other files. In addition to this, you can also store & read selected apps directly to/from the iXpand Memory Case.
Additionally, SanDisk has also introduced an add-on 1900mAh battery pack that just gets attached to the iXpand Memory Case. When connected, it detects when your phone’s battery runs low and kicks in to charge it.
The SanDisk iXpand Memory Case comes in Blue, Grey, Red & Teal colours and it is already available for sale in the U.S. The SanDisk iXpand Memory Case comes in 32GB, 64GB and 128GB storage options at a price tag of US $59.99, US $99.99 & US $129.99 respectively. The add-on battery packs will be sold separately for US $39.99 and available for pre-order in U.S.
